Four friends – Diana, Martina, Michaela, and Iva – have returned to the author after twenty-two years and are coming back to you, dear readers. The stories of women whose lives have undergone an inevitable transformation over the years… or perhaps not. They have changed in some ways, a lot has happened in their lives, but their dreams and desires remain similar to those from two decades ago. They have simply become a bit more modest. Time has touched them, and they have occasionally had to reassess, resolve, or change something. Or did life do it for them? I was curious about what would happen to them after fifty, how they would change, whether they would live with the same partners, what would happen to their children, now grown up, and whether one of them might already be a grandmother… I wrote the book with great joy, looking forward to meeting Iva, Diana, Martina, and Michaela again, the women I had grown so fond of twenty-two years ago. I missed them too!
