Description
Petr Uspenskij (also Uspenský) was the most famous student of the Russian mystic Georgij Gurdžijev. In 1912, his work with the mysterious title Tertium Organum was published. This publication elevated Uspenskij to the heights of significant thinkers of the 20th century. According to the author's own words, Tertium Organum is the key to the mysteries of time and the universe. It addresses various scientific, philosophical, and psychological theories and attempts to explain many phenomena and realities that are often incomprehensible to us, such as occultism, love, the spirituality of nature, the voices of stones, the mathematics of infinity, mysticism, cosmic consciousness, the birth of an exceptional human being... All of this is viewed through the lens of higher abstract mathematics and philosophy. Uspenskij reflects on fundamental philosophical questions concerning matter, the essence of being, relativity, and the absolute, and seeks to decipher what we should actually imagine under the concepts of space and time. He pays special attention to the mysterious fourth dimension, which belongs to the world of a 'higher energy level,' a type of world that we cannot comprehend or describe. Uspenskij also turns to other philosophers, such as Kant, and analyzes their ideas from a different perspective: he searches for hidden knowledge that remains elusive to the average reader...
