Description
Daskalos, known as the Strovolos Magus, lived in Cyprus in the twentieth century. The opening chapter tells the story of his early childhood, when this mystic’s unusual spiritual abilities first appeared at the age of seven. The book goes on to explore his teachings and the circle of students who call themselves the Seekers of Truth, clearly presenting and examining their doctrines and practices as a system of esoteric Christianity. Each chapter concludes with practical exercises connected with spiritual growth and the training of the Seekers of Truth, including various forms of meditation and procedures extending into occult practices, such as creating an elemental and communicating with angels. Daskalos’s system describes and analyses the world and the universe in detail. It presents ideas such as the existence of up to seven levels of consciousness and the notion that human beings can act as instruments of good or evil, with human angels and human devils among us. To ordinary people, Daskalos was best known as a healer with seemingly miraculous abilities. For him, however, miracles were not supernatural but based on a thorough knowledge of the deeper laws of the world. He also understood that everything is mind. Despite his remarkable abilities and knowledge, he remained exceptionally modest and humble throughout his life, leading an outwardly ordinary and very simple existence with his family while selflessly offering love and help. The author studied directly under Daskalos from 1989, and the foreword was written by Daskalos’s daughter. The book was first published in 2012.
