Relationships with other people – from the most intimate to fleeting and impersonal – are always an opportunity to learn or become aware of something. Especially when a conflict arises. Therefore, the author thematically discusses, in short chapters (brief yet concise), the possible variations of what happens between us and another person. His goal is to teach us to create higher quality and more positive relationships with others, but also with ourselves. When we understand our interactions with others as a mirror, we allow ourselves to grow and develop, to address our problems and weaknesses. The individual chapters are full of inspiring thoughts and themes for independent topics: Anger, Fear, Gossip, Projection, Attack, Guilt, Gratitude, etc. The basic idea is always illustrated with an example from life, followed by a lesson and advice; occasionally, there is also a suggestion for a useful psychological exercise or meditation. The point is to change the way we think that assigns blame to others. Kay Pollak insists that anything unpleasant or negative that happens to us in relation to other people always points to some attitude or belief of our own. And if we manage to change it, it will also reflect in our relationships!
