Description
About six months before the Tokyo Olympics, the whole country is enthusiastically preparing for the event. These preparations also bring a wave of excessive puritanism, including the censorship of printed materials intended to present Japan in the best possible light to the international public. In this suffocating atmosphere, young author Mikio Hibino looks forward to the publication of his horror manga Dark Walker. It soon attracts the unwelcome attention of a review committee, setting off a chain of unbelievable events. Drawing on his own professional experience, Tetsuya Tsutsui offers a fascinating look at freedom of expression and the backstage world of manga creation.
