Description
Set in Wrocław in 1963, the story begins on the late afternoon of 9 August, when a patient considered insane is brought to a psychiatric ward. He claims that his dead wife has risen from the grave, and then commits suicide. The act of a man consumed by feverish delusions triggers a chain of bloody events that the hospital staff must face, though they seem at first glance far too few to repel the deadly threat. This novel offers a chilling view of the events from an entirely different perspective. It opens the way into an extraordinarily expansive world where horrifying fiction intertwines with dark reality, amid bloody, tragic and suspenseful circumstances that are above all intensely gripping.
