Description
Being a half-halfling is no advantage for Alren Sedmikvítek, a young man scraping by in a village terrorised by monsters. Matters become even worse when Kresta, the leader of a gang of thugs, decides to teach him his place, which is apparently in the graveyard. Everything changes with the arrival of the dwarven chef Fnayir and the mysterious Mr Akved, who plan to turn an abandoned inn into a modern restaurant. First, however, they must deal with bureaucrats, saboteurs and food critics. Alren knows what he wants to do with his new opportunity: become a chef. Hundreds of miles away, the paladin Božizmar, ranger Ryalin and priest Grunghi are recovering from a disastrous expedition. Could the restaurateurs help them, and can Alren keep up with the upheavals coming his way, including the contents of his stomach when he discovers where his bosses obtain all that delicious meat?
