Měsíc mého života – Neff Ondřej (2026)

A former miner from the Czech-Polish Mining Company, Kuba Nedomý looks forward to returning to Earth. Instead, someone tries to kill him, forcing him to fight for his life near the lunar habitat Arkadia. The action, in which his friend Kazimir Prus also plays a role, is only the first of a series of problems. Kuba now faces a long journey through the wilderness with the very people who would rather see him at the bottom of a crater. What role did Kazik play in Kuba’s fate before Doctor Kurz transformed him into a cyborg named Dědek Čuchák? Why did Kuba become an antique dealer and occasional detective instead of an illusion star? And how did the two become involved in the fatal destruction of the Arkadian Dome? This cult science-fiction novel, which launched the Arkadia cycle, appears in an ultimate revised edition. Neff’s distinctive heroes Kuba Nedomý and Dědek Čuchák appear at the beginning of their lunar careers, which later develop dramatically in Rock of My Life, Star of My Life, Ultimus, Hu!, The Stories of Dědek Čuchák, The Island of the Immortals, The Golden Orange and The Seventh Wave. The original story is accompanied by three bonus tales from the world of Arkadia: Two Percent Below Success, The Headless Horseman and The Three Faces of Lilith. The contents are in Czech.
