Description
A tribute to a sensitive creative soul that has been extinguished. Poetry of a student shot in December 2023 at Charles University Faculty of Arts. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to charitable purposes according to the preferences of the deceased student's parents. Lucie Fríbertová was born on December 12, 2000, in Strakonice and died on December 21, 2023 – on that fateful day when she found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, on the fourth floor of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Palach Square in Prague. As a window into her soul, she left behind drawings, sketches, and three poetry collections. "I perceive these poems published posthumously as an opportunity to glimpse the greatness of all the amazing inner universes that were extinguished that day, but did not vanish. Thanks to this publication, which includes both early, still immature verses and later ones aspiring for artistic expression, the inner universe of each of us can become richer. And this through the experience of fragility and transience, which, however, is among the most valuable in life." Martin Vopěnka, writer
