Description
The Little Prince finally appears in the Plzeň dialect, taking the familiar story into the streets and speech of Plzeň. The beloved book by French writer and pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry has been translated into more than 350 languages and dialects. Book collector Martina Dlabajová decided to transfer this gentle tale into the Plzeň dialect, in which every sentence has its own humour, energy and honesty. Translators Daniel Bečvář, a social geographer, and French interpreter Anna Maurin helped with the work, while Nika Kulik provided the illustrations. The contents are in Czech, rendered in the local dialect. The book offers both locals and visitors a new perspective on a familiar story: newcomers can learn about the dialect, experts can deepen their knowledge, and everyone can enjoy the unusual viewpoint.
