This Czech-language romance follows Carey Douglas, who has worked for nearly ten years for Melissa and Rusty Tripp, America’s beloved interior-design gurus. Carey grew up on a farm and began working for Melissa at sixteen, eventually becoming the person most responsible for the success of their hugely successful brand. The Tripps have their own television show and a new book, but behind their seemingly perfect public image, the popular couple cannot stand each other. James McCann has recently graduated as a structural engineer, but the career is not what he imagined, and he soon finds himself travelling across the United States with the Tripps and Carey on a weeks-long tour. Carey and James do not hit it off at first, yet they must work together to stop the married couple from destroying each other and to keep the truth from coming out. Gradually, they discover that joining forces rather than working against each other could save not only the brand, but also give them the chance to create something extraordinary together.
