In the last two years, we have experienced pivotal moments in the modern history of our country. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the lives of each of us. All the events from spring 2020 to the present create a certain inventory in society regarding interpersonal relationships, the capabilities of the Czech academic and industrial environment, the digital readiness of the state, public service media, the functioning of public institutions, data handling, discussions in the scientific community, capabilities in healthcare, education, and many other topics. Author and innovator Robin Čumpelík has therefore reached out to representatives from science, healthcare, and law to provide space for their reflections on the past two years. He looks back at the pandemic period while also seeking mutual lessons, evaluating data, and various personal and societal situations.
