Description
Every time Zax falls asleep, he wakes up in a different reality in another world. He cannot choose his destination and never knows what he will see when he opens his eyes. Sometimes he wakes up in a technological utopia, other times in the bombed ruins of a collapsed civilization, or in the midst of a battlefield. He can rely only on himself and the small helpers he has found along the way – futuristic gadgets, sedatives that allow him to fall asleep quickly and escape from dangerous worlds, or stimulants that prolong his stay in the pleasant ones. Life may not be easily planned, but fortunately, Zax is not always alone. He can take people with him if he holds them in his arms and they fall asleep together. And so he visits world after world until he discovers that he is being followed...
