Description
The proceedings of the XXth symposium on Arterial Hypertension, Current Clinical Trends, focus on the latest developments in the diagnosis and therapy of arterial hypertension and its common comorbidities. Attention is given not only to essential hypertension as the most common form but also to secondary forms, including endocrine and renal hypertension. We have newly included an overview of the issues of obstructive sleep apnea, primary hyperparathyroidism, and increased heart rate in hypertension. The proceedings thus contain a number of clinical insights not only for internists, cardiologists, and general practitioners but also for diabetologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, and pharmacologists. We firmly believe that some clinical updates may contribute to improving the care of hypertensive patients in our country.
