Description
In The Edge of the World, Geralt travels in search of work with Dandelion, who is struggling to find material for his ballads, and reaches the very edge of the known world. The inhabitants have plenty of wild tales to tell, but they seem to be nothing more than stories about monsters and superstition. Then a villager asks Geralt for help with a devil that is ravaging the local fields. The witcher must rid the village of the creature, but he is forbidden to kill it under any circumstances. Her daughter is old enough to marry, and suitors will compete for her hand. Geralt has his doubts, but he has no choice but to attend the ceremonial dinner, and in disguise at that. Then a mysterious uninvited guest in knight's armour enters the hall, followed by a bold declaration and a shocking revelation that causes an uproar. The fulfilment or breaking of destiny is at stake.
