Description
The proof that we are not alone in the universe could not have come at a worse time. It is the year 2084, and Earth is facing both economic and ecological catastrophe, threatening the extinction of human civilization. The Space Federation of advanced cultures decides to intervene. Newlyweds Swänn and Sätie are called upon and become part of the 'Renaissance' mission to assist Earthlings. Doctor Sätie and her colleague Pablö meet Earthling Helena and investigate the causes of the mysterious Fever that is decimating humanity. Swänn is sent to Texas, where he tries to extinguish burning oil fields. But even advanced civilizations are not without contradictions, selfish interests, and politics. Not everyone shares the same view on interplanetary aid, and some even confuse humanitarian assistance with plundering the remaining earthly resources...
