The book is narrated lightly, understandably, and flows like a real dialogue with a curious girl, yet it often delves into unexpected depths: it is evident that Hubert Reeves was an experienced science popularizer and a great scientist whose thoughts and attitudes have had time to mature. The author himself characterized the book as his spiritual legacy to the younger generation, and it is clear that he put great care into it.
