Description
How to unsuspectingly dive into the renovation of a cottage and thus experience countless absurd, heart-stopping, and comical situations. How is missing project documentation replaced by immediate improvisation? Why take a fire extinguisher when a part of the roof can catch fire? Why not create a trampoline instead of a solid floor? Why pay several workers when one or two would suffice? I pondered for a long time whether I should even write down, and especially publish, my building memories. In the end, the conviction won that there is surely at least one occasionally desperate builder's soul out there, like I was. And that perhaps a stone will fall from their heart when they read that they are not alone in this. I greet them.
