Description
The book is the first monograph of the remarkable Swiss artist Florin Granwehr (1942-2019), who, despite his primarily Zurich-based career, maintained interesting connections with the Czech environment, particularly thanks to his wife - the prominent art theorist Ludmila Vachtová. His rationally and geometrically based sculptural and drawing work emerged from the legacy of Zurich's concretism. The most visible part of it is a series of impressive monumental realizations placed in public spaces of Swiss cities. However, through his systematic approach and self-discipline, he gradually led it to a very personal position, culminating in the definition of his own creative Theorem in mathematical form, an extensive work consisting of tens of thousands of drawings. The photographic documentation of the works and the artist's life was created by Toni Dusek. The texts and concept of the book were prepared by Viktor Čech. The monograph is published in English.
