This English-written book describes the author's emigration from Czechoslovakia triggered by historical events in August 1968. A small part of the book is also based on the recollections of the author's friends and colleagues. There may be minor discrepancies regarding the exact locations and dates. The book represents a complete emigration circle, starting in Czechoslovakia in 1968 and ending after the author returns to the Czech Republic and regains his citizenship at the end of 2000.
