Author Karolina Froňková adds: "Based on research, four distinct periods of the Talichův Beroun festival have clearly emerged, which are also reflected in the book's division into individual chapters. The years 1983-1990 marked the golden era of the festival, followed by a challenging transitional post-revolution period from 1991-1997. This stage was filled with groundbreaking social, cultural, and political changes that negatively impacted the course and organization of the festival. The situation stabilized only in the years 1998-2011, when the festival took on a new face. Starting in 2012, a gradual transformation of the festival into a form that corresponds to modern times has been underway. Each chapter maps the respective period of the festival from all angles: from organization to dramaturgy and accompanying events.
