Description
The adventures of Luther Arkwright, which began publication in 1978, are widely regarded as the first British graphic novel. This groundbreaking experimental work, also known as 'adult' sci-fi, has been praised by many artists including Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Jean Giraud (Moebius), and Michael Moorcock, and has served as a source of inspiration for many others. In 2001, its sequel, Heart of Empire, was released. Since then, both publications have seen numerous new editions. The Legend of Luther Arkwright is a standalone story set fifty years after the events of Heart of Empire. It is a completely new tale that maintains continuity with the first two volumes. This time, Arkwright faces a stronger adversary and is pursued across many parallel worlds through a variety of utopian and dystopian realities. In his quest to save humanity, he can rely only on his experience and determination.
