Writer Timothy Truman boldly combines several plots from the past in his adaptation of Robert E. Howard's unfinished story "The Arm of Nergal" and adds a number of intriguing ideas. His successful work with the characters is evident both in the cult hero himself and in the colorful mix of supporting characters, including thieves, monarchs, occasional mercenaries, wizards, and demons. Argentine artist Tomás Giorello brings the story to life with breathtaking scenes of action battles, as well as moments infused with horror or, conversely, heartfelt emotion.
