J. S. Gordon radically reassesses the timeline of prehistory, arguing that Egyptian civilization is at least 50,000 years older than current Egyptology acknowledges. He examines astrophysical, cosmological, geophysical, linguistic and anthropological evidence in an effort to uncover forgotten civilizations hidden beneath the Mediterranean Sea and along the coast of northwestern Africa. According to Gordon, the apparently spontaneous emergence of fully developed Egyptian and Sumerian civilizations 5,000 years ago does not represent the birth of civilization, but the remains of an immensely ancient and advanced global culture stretching from Tibet and China to Atlantis and a much larger continent of which Atlantis was once a part. Gordon explores the mystical traditions and initiation rituals of the ancient Egyptians, presenting them not as a culture obsessed with death and tombs, but as one structured around cosmic knowledge and astronomical expertise that modern science has not yet surpassed. He discusses their sophisticated understanding of the precession of the equinoxes and its inseparable connection with human evolution and divine purpose, knowledge that could have arisen only through many millennia of highly advanced observation. He also argues that the Egyptian mystery school, its scientific knowledge and its universal spiritual philosophy are a legacy left to the ancient Egyptians by the “fallen gods from the stars”, divine celestial beings who came to Earth in the distant past and founded the original, now forgotten culture.
