In previous parts of the publication, a number of baseline models of the Sukhoi Su-27 were introduced, along with the naval special Su-27K/Su-33 and the attack Su-34. The latest members of the family are the Su-30 and Su-35 aircraft, which are still in production today. These can be considered the most powerful representatives of the family that emerged from the Su-27. The Su-30 was developed based on the modernization project Su-27M, which was not completed before the collapse of the USSR and encountered the typical post-revolution chaos. However, the very forward-looking requirements from the 1980s meant that a number of new technologies were tested on the Su-27M, which became the foundation for the new Su-30 version and were further supplemented by the possibility of integrating new elements from the Western world. As a result, the Su-30 model is the most successful export representative of the entire family, serving in hundreds of units in Russia, India, China, and many other countries in Africa, Asia, and South America. Because the aircraft are often used for command and control of air operations, all Su-30s are two-seaters.
