Description
The very first biography of Charms with entirely new translations of his jurodivy poetry.
A study by an author who is among the leading experts and editors of Charms's work, a "handbook of charmsology" for both laypeople and connoisseurs. Supplemented with new translations of Charms's poetic works. In 2008, Doctor of Philological Sciences Alexandr Kobrinskij (*1967) filled a gap in the general knowledge of the work and life of the Leningrad poet, prose writer, and playwright Daniil Kharms. His book, simply titled Daniil Kharms, serves as a literary study, a complete biography of the poet, and a reflection of the era in which he lived. In its comprehensiveness, it is the very first factually supported biography of Charms.
