Description
The poetry of Polkowski radiates a peculiar strength – an unprecedented confidence in the poet's view of the world, which reaches the reader with a calm yet rich voice, without unnecessary noise and rhetorical flourishes, though not without pathos. After all, we are talking about tragic fates. This does not bring easy comfort; on the contrary, good rarely triumphs, and it does so at the cost of immense effort, countless sacrifices, and renunciation.
