Description
Sovereignty is commented on by significant figures from Czech and Slovak public life, discussed from both the right and the left, from the perspectives of various scientific fields, life experiences, or political positions. Sovereignty brings criticism of globalized capitalism and progressive social experiments, which are so distant from sovereignty. Sovereignty, one of the cornerstones of democracy, signifies that the state and its people are capable of making independent decisions about their fate. Sovereignty is today challenged by right-wing neoliberalism and left-wing progressivism and is labeled as populism or, conversely, extremism.
