Description
After the death of her ailing husband, Anki Karlsson looks forward to a new life. She finally begins to pursue her childhood hobby – horseback riding. She leaves Stockholm, buys two Icelandic horses, and moves to a small Gotland parish called Mullvalds. There, she intends to ride through the beautiful countryside and enjoy the pleasant life of a retiree. But just as she starts to unpack her things, the idyll shatters. Someone deliberately damages the interior of the church and leaves bloody traces on the altar cloth. Soon after, a foreign poisoned horse is found in Anki's stable. When a corpse is discovered in her garden, everyone begins to suspect her. Together with Tryggve, a retired criminal investigator who is not very friendly to her at first, Anki does everything she can to find out who is disturbing the peace in Mullvalds.
