Description
After villagers betray Kissen’s family and sacrifice it to the fire goddess, Kissen is the only survivor. Seeking revenge, she becomes a godkiller, hunting gods for pleasure and whatever reward she can earn. Her plans are disrupted when she meets little Inara, who asks for help because her life is bound to that of Skedi, the god of merciful lies. The godkiller helps Inara escape from unknown assassins and travels with her to Blenraden, a fallen city where wild gods still survive. Elogast, a baker and former knight, sets out on the same journey with a task of his own. Together, the three face the dangers along their path and hope that the gods will hear their pleas. During their journey, however, they discover that nothing is as it seemed: a hidden threat is lurking in their world, and only they can put things right.
