Kolo: dopravní prostředek budoucnosti – Buddeus Ondřej (2024)

On a bicycle, one is just a pedal stroke away from takeoff. Almost everyone remembers what it was like when they first rode alone. What is it about? What does a bicycle actually do to our bodies and feelings, to our journeys through the landscapes and cities we live in? And how did the idea of making a bicycle even come about?

A bicycle seems like an ordinary thing that gives us extraordinary experiences. For over 200 years, it has been our companion on roads, in streets, and along forest paths. It helps us, but it needs our cooperation, strength, energy, and skill. Both young and old travel not only through terrain but also through the realm of imagination thanks to it. The bicycle is a symbol of freedom and a healthy, considerate life. The authors of this richly illustrated book tell the story of this humble means of transport that can change the world.
