Colombian director Sergio Cabrera arrives in Barcelona in October 2016 for a showcase of his films. He is going through a tough time: his father has just passed away, his marriage is in crisis, and his homeland has rejected peace agreements that could end a war lasting more than fifty years.
Over the course of several intense days, during which Sergio's films are screened, he reflects on the events that have marked the lives of both him and his father: from the Spanish Civil War to exile in America, from the Chinese Cultural Revolution to armed movements in Colombia in the sixties.
