Description
Arnošt and Evžen. A librarian who arranges books to the ceiling without ever opening his antiquarian bookshop, and a conspirator in an American military jacket who sees saboteurs around every corner. Two sixty-somethings wearing castle slippers that fit them into the role of best friends. They spend most of their time in the pub Ticho, where the regulars are noticeably dwindling. Either they are buying suspiciously cheap beer at supermarkets, or they have already kicked the bucket. 'Butter down' is the story of two guys who may have seen their best days, but continue to enjoy life in their own way. A tale about a life where one is simultaneously a caring grandfather, father, son, and friend. About the regulars from Ticho, who together have about six hundred years but still greet each other with slaps on the back, call each other 'dude,' and laugh at the same joke for the hundredth time, because that's how it should be among friends. They know that life has a sense of dark humor.
