Description
The starry sky has been Joan Goodwin's lifelong passion since childhood, and dreaming about what lies up there led her to study astrophysics. When she, as an enthusiastic astrophysicist, applies for a special NASA program, she has no idea that this will change her life in every way. Not only must she dig deep into her reserves to pass the selection process, but she will also meet her fateful love and her next life passion. The selected team of astronauts and scientists is incredibly diverse, but it is here that Joan finds the closest relationships and understanding she never knew was possible. And then, one December morning in 1984, Joan arrives at work at the Johnson Space Center in Houston at NASA, expecting nothing extraordinary, just another ordinary day. Her intuition is silent, no premonition warns her that just a few hours later, an incident will occur aboard the spacecraft in orbit that will fundamentally change the fate of not only the astronauts on board but also hers down on Earth.
