This Czech-language romance novel follows spirited Gigi, who loves life and the people around her. When her best friend asks her to persuade his brother Kingston to attend a planned wedding, she travels to Colorado, where the reclusive writer is hiding from the world. Instead of a willing guest, she finds a stubborn rude man determined to overcome the writer’s block preventing him from finishing his new novel. A former model is the last person he wants to deal with. Yet Gigi’s uninhibited energy unexpectedly captures his attention and brings him back to life. In her presence, words suddenly pour out of Kingston and the pages of his manuscript quickly accumulate. He spontaneously suggests a deal: if Gigi stays in Aspen until the wedding, he will accompany her there in return. She can even stay at his huge, empty house with a hot tub. What begins as a simple exchange gradually becomes something surprising, as a sparkling connection develops between two people who are unwilling to admit how much it means. As the outgoing city girl and the reserved writer grow closer, it becomes clear that their chemistry is real and involves far more than consuming passion.
