Description
Twelve tennis stars (Berdych, Djokovic, Federer, Kodeš, Krejčíková, Kvitová, Lendl, Lenglen, Nadal, Navrátilová, Štěpánek, Tilden) are presented in poetic profiles, summarizing their careers and in striking artistic representations that may seem like captivating caricatures to some. The portraits are applied to rackets, chosen according to the players' affinity for the respective brands, while the choice of rock bases in which the rackets are secured reflects the players' game and personality expression. The work thus illustrates the maxim of American tennis player William Tilden: "Tennis is both an art and a science." The text is in Czech and English.
