Description
For decades, the human population has been decimated by a highly contagious virus. A handful of those who managed to survive live in hermetically sealed cities. Among them is Fjordbyen, a few blocks of buildings by the fjord, where the modern center of Norway's capital Oslo once lay before the so-called divide. It is here that Alma grows up. Along with other children, she is raised by a group of adults who strive to provide for everyone and gather resources and knowledge for the production of a vaccine. This vaccine would allow people to leave the sealed cities and live as they once did. Once Alma is old enough to serve the city, she becomes the leader of a field team, and it seems a dazzling career awaits her. However, her life turns upside down when her protective suit tears during a mission in the contaminated outdoor air.
