The album of stories is a novel mosaic of Cyprus and its inhabitants. The grandmother's death and the memories of the survivors begin to unravel a tangle of stories. From the grandmother, it quickly rolls to the extended family, neighbors in the village, and eventually encompasses the entire island. The narratives reflect the fates of every person anywhere in the world: they are about life and death, about love and wars, about emigration or return. Old and new stories intertwine, involving various people, times, and places. Sometimes the threads of the stories get tangled, and sometimes the narrator himself gets caught up in them. How does the story continue? How does it end? Which is yours and which is someone else's? And does it really matter...? The narration is supplemented with real and fictional newspaper clippings, recipes, children's drawings, folk songs, laments, rhymes, or poems – and especially many photographs. And the whole tangle has been given the title Album of Stories.
