Description
This Czech-language workbook for first-year primary school pupils is part of a popular set of textbooks and exercise books created in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. The workbook uses the analytical-synthetic method and prepares pupils for independent reading. It supports the development of the senses needed for reading, helps develop graphomotor skills, and encourages checking comprehension of what is read, heard or seen. Its tasks and exercises develop auditory and visual perception, expand vocabulary, and teach pupils to understand words and their meanings. The first letters introduced are M, A, L, E, S, O, P, U and I. Each letter is supported by pictures, written words, rhymes, practice tasks and graphomotor exercises. Syllable reading is shown graphically using curved markings. Various symbols indicate the type of activity, including a ball, alarm clock, parrot, owl, mouth and pencil.
