In the textbook, students will become acquainted with the way of life and work of our ancestors as well as the main events of the earliest Czech history, up to the ascension of the Habsburgs to the Czech throne. Through the connection of the teaching text on a colored background, motivational illustrations, and questions, students can master the material in multiple ways. In the chapters and subsections dedicated to the historical way of life and work, motivational illustrations with simple questions are included. The chapters describing the formation and development of the Czech state contain motivational texts, allowing students to improve their reading comprehension through control questions. On the double pages of these chapters, maps of Europe, or Central Europe or Eurasia, are placed at the bottom to highlight the interconnectedness of Czech historical events with European ones. At the end of the chapters, students, along with a witty fox, will review the material through a brief summary and review questions. To assess knowledge of larger teaching units, two quarterly and one final review are prepared. At the end of the textbook, students will find tips for trips to learn about our history and ancestors according to historical periods.
