Description
This Czech-language textbook follows the Czech national education framework and includes revision and further practice of material from previous years. It develops lessons on adjectives, pronouns, numerals, verbs and adverbs, while expanding the chapter on sentence structure with additional material on sentence constituents and subject–verb agreement. It also includes supplementary material intended to introduce and deepen the topics covered, although it is not compulsory for teachers and pupils should not be assessed on it. Texts and related activities develop reading literacy and reading comprehension. The material is practised and revised cyclically through different types of tasks, exercises and educational games, with pupils learning to work with summaries and tables. Many activities encourage pair or group work and develop teamwork, while others involve using additional sources of information. Links to science, social studies and other subjects support broader projects and active learning beyond a single lesson.
