We present to you a new series of readers for the first grade, suitable for students with special educational needs. They help all students improve their reading skills and expression fluency, while facilitating the inclusion of students with special educational needs in regular classes. The extended version of the Reader for the 2nd grade has versatile uses, and we recommend working with it for: • all 2nd grade students to develop their reading skills • students with specific learning disabilities, particularly those with reading difficulties without significant cognitive deficits, to ease their integration in regular classes • teachers of 2nd grade classes who have students with reading difficulties without significant cognitive deficits in their class • teachers as material for intervention lessons, for the purpose of tutoring • parents and teachers who want to work stimulatively with children.
