Description
This Czech-language reader aims to develop children’s reading comprehension. Alongside texts reflecting the cycle of nature through the seasons, it includes texts about relationships between people and human development, including the chapter “How Humans Became Human,” as well as relationships within the family and ties to one’s homeland in “Everyone Has a Home of Their Own.” Engaging stories from the distant past appear in the chapter “In the Times of Princes, Knights, Kings and Emperors,” and mysterious and frightening stories are included as well. The reader is linked across subjects with social studies, music education and practical education. Key words in English appear at the bottom of every page, helping pupils reinforce vocabulary they already know or learn new words.
