Description
In Atlantis, a cruel despot reigns. Aquaman must hide. And the only hope for the underwater realm rests in the hands of the sea king's fiancée, the exiled queen of Atlantis, Mera. However, Mera's extradimensional abilities are no longer functioning as they should, so she will have to seek help in surprising places if she is to save her adoptive home. Mera is trying to recover from injuries that have rendered her otherwise terrifyingly powerful abilities, at best, unreliable. She must come to terms with her past and deal with the threat of another contender for the throne, Aquaman's half-brother Orm. At the same time, she embarks on a dangerous journey to her home kingdom of Xebel to find allies. But in Xebel, Atlantis, and on land, dangerous plans are set in motion, and Mera and her companions become pawns in an immensely perilous game. If they want to survive, or even win, they will have to learn to play. Writer of the AQUAMAN series DAN ABNETT (Guardians of the Galaxy) and artist LAN MEDINA (Myths) will delve into Mera's current life and past, paving the way for an unimaginable future. All this awaits you in the book MERA: QUEEN OF ATLANTIS, which includes the six-part miniseries of the same name.
