Neonová oběť – Sandford John (2020)

When a notorious loan shark needs to teach someone a lesson for not paying back on time, he hires Clayton Deese, who severely injures the debtor as a warning. However, one time Deese botches the job and ends up in prison. After seven months, he's released on bail and disappears. Federal marshals are on his trail. They are not so much after this criminal as they are after the man who assigns him brutal jobs, as Deese is apparently their only chance to take down the loan shark. Soon it seems they are close to their target in Louisiana. They find a house where Deese apparently stays occasionally and take a narrow path through the swamps into a nearby forest. But at the end of the path, they don't find the wanted criminal, but graves with the remains of victims. They dig up several bodies and discover that the perpetrator has cut pieces of flesh from them. Deese is not only a violent criminal but apparently also a serial killer who has quietly disposed of a number of victims. And as Davenport finds out in Las Vegas, the city of neon lights, he can unpleasantly surprise his pursuers.
