Description
Thanks to a few very influential people whose lives he saved, Lucas Davenport no longer works for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension but has joined the federal marshals. He has an extraordinarily wide scope of work, allowing him to choose cases regardless of their nature or where the investigation leads him. This time, however, it brings him into trouble that is not worth having. In the city of Biloxi in southern Mississippi, someone robs a drug cartel's counting house. Suitcases full of cash disappear, and six bodies are left at the scene, including that of a six-year-old girl. The cartel hires hitmen to track down the perpetrators, including the 'Queen of DIY,' who tortures victims with tools. They then compete with Davenport to see who can find the shooters who raided the counting house first. The situation quickly escalates, with everyone standing against each other: the robbers from Biloxi, the hired killers, and Lucas Davenport.
