At first glance, you wouldn't say that Theo is a biotechnologically enhanced superhuman secretly working for the monstrous corporation SVS. When he's not dealing with trivial criminal cases, he kills time playing video games, watching depraved TV shows, and devouring bittersweet orchids. He lives under the Metal Sky, just like everyone else in the technologically advanced and morally degraded city-state of Tyfu. However, while Theo enjoys the pleasures with his uncomplicated girlfriend and intersperses them with futile dreams about a sophisticated colleague, his boss, the director of SVS, is becoming increasingly worried. Who is to blame? Mr. Miracle, of course. He appears completely unexpectedly and walks through walls, but for an ordinary ghost, he is far too tangible. He takes what he needs, occasionally sucks someone's brain, and then disappears just as inexplicably. And above all: he shouldn't exist at all.
