Description
Sci-fi from the near future depicts a darkly colored industrial world, not unlike a totalitarian regime. Entertainment for the apathetic masses is provided by a single television channel, which broadcasts obscure twisted competitions, the harshest and most popular of which is The Running Man. A selected individual, in this case Ben Richards, is released into the streets of America as prey. After twelve hours, he is pursued by professional Hunters, supported by numerous informants among the television viewers. The fleeing desperate man resorts to the most brutal means in hopes of shaking off his pursuers for the promise of a million-dollar reward.
