Description
New York, the 1960s. Twenty-year-old Marilyn grows up in a strict Jewish community, yet she approaches life rather liberally. One day, the entire congregation witnesses her kissing the rabbi's son during a service. What a scandal! The only solution seems to be marriage. However, Marilyn definitely does not want to get married, and she refuses to live by someone else's rules, so her parents decide that the best thing to do is to send their daughter to stay with her great-aunt Ada for the entire summer. Ada is the only one who can save Marilyn's reputation - she is a top-notch matchmaker. Gradually, Marilyn discovers that Ada is not a dry old maid, but that she can experience a summer full of humor and unexpected adventures with her - and most importantly, find out what it truly means to live freely and without prejudice.
