Byli jsme oklamáni – Osho (2024)

This Czech-language book presents four talks originally delivered by Osho in Hindi. They focus on four central themes: the desire to search, the journey towards the true self, the door leading to the highest knowledge, and the possibility of passing through it to attain infinite divinity. Osho says that the life people lead is merely an idea imposed on them by others. They do not know themselves, which is the main reason they experience suffering, anxiety and pain. He therefore urges readers to question the meaning of life rather than adopt opinions that do not arise from wisdom and genuine understanding. Osho emphasises that once people allow themselves to be influenced by their surroundings, they suppress their natural desire and stop searching. They can then easily be deceived by various ideas intended to manipulate people who are dissatisfied with their lives and willing to accept whatever religions and representatives of society impose on them. Osho gives examples of people who resisted this influence and lived according to their own convictions. This message is even more relevant today, when people are under constant pressure from the media and social networks and it is not easy to determine what is true and what is not.
